This class offers a gentle introduction to dance for your little one—with the support of a guardian! Dancers will explore rhythm, coordination, basic ballet skills, and classroom behavior through fun, engaging activities. With a guardian by their side, they’ll build trust, confidence, and a foundation for independence.

Tiny Dancers

Our Tiny Dancers is a fun and exciting way for little one to step into the world of dance! The class introduces creative movement, rhythm, and coordination. Your tiny dancer will be taught the basic fundamentals in ballet and tap with fun and interactive learning methods!
(This class will have a ballet and tap dance that will be performed in the recital)
Classical Combo

Classical Combo (Beginner - 2 years of dance experience. Approximately Kindergarten & 1st Grade)
Our Classical Combo class introduces dancers to the foundational techniques of ballet, tap, and jazz—three essential styles that help shape a strong, well-rounded dancer. The class is divided into three segments, giving students focused time in each discipline while also building their overall coordination, confidence, and performance skills. In ballet, dancers will work at the barre and in the center, practicing adagio and allegro combinations to develop grace, poise, and control. The jazz section focuses on balance, turns, leaps, and energetic combinations that encourage dancers to express their personality and style. Tap training includes ankle warm-ups, rhythmic center work, and across-the-floor combinations that challenge dancers to sharpen their timing and precision.
(This class will have two dances performed in the recital)
Classical Combo (Morning Class)

This class is scheduled in the morning for families with children who are homeschooled or taking hybrid classes with morning availability in their schedule

Acro-Dance

Beginner Level (Beginner - 1 year experience. Approximately Kindergarten - 1st grade)

Level I (must have a cartwheel, handstand, and bridge without a spot. Approximately 2nd - 4th grade)

Intermediate Level Skills & Drills (must have a cartwheel, handstand, back bend [going down & coming up] without a spot. Placement is based on skills regardardless of age) *This class does NOT participate in the recital

Advance Level Skills & Drills (must have a cartwheel, handstand, back bend [going down & coming ], kick-over, front & back walkovers without a spot. Approximately 7th grade & up) *This class does NOT participate in the recital
Our Acro-Dance classes focus on teaching the fundamentals of safely executing acrobatic skills tailored to each student’s ability level. Dancers will spend time on conditioning, strength training, targeted exercises to improve balance and flexibility, and stretching. The class combines lifts, tumbling, and center and across-the-floor combinations to help dancers develop control and master exciting acro-dance skills.
(Beginner & Level I classes will have one dance performed in the recital. Intermediate and Advance Skills & Drills will NOT participate in the recital)
Ballet

Our ballet classes emphasize classical technique, terminology, proper alignment, and the development of grace and poise. Students will work on barré exercises to strengthen the legs, ankles, and feet, followed by center and across-the-floor adagio and allegro variations and combinations. The classes are designed to build performance quality and precision.

Pointe

Beginner (4 years or more of ballet experience. Approximately 6th grade and up)
Our pointe class is designed to build a strong foundation in pointe technique, skills, and terminology. Emphasis is placed on developing strength and maintaining proper alignment to ensure safe and effective execution of movements. The class includes detailed barré exercises aimed at strengthening the legs, ankles, and feet, providing essential support for dancing en pointe.
(Must be enrolled in Level III Ballet This class will have one dance performed in the recital)
Jazz

Our jazz classes focus on developing jazz technique, terminology, and performance quality that lets each dancer’s personality shine! The class includes warm-ups and stretches, isolations, balance exercises, leaps, jumps, turns, and center and across-the-floor combinations. Jazz classes encourage dancers to bring energy, style, and plenty of pizazz to every move!

Tap

Level I/II (beginner - 3 years experience. Approximately 2nd - 5th grade)
Our Tap classes focus on developing tap technique, terminology, rhythm, and precision. The class begins with a graduated warm-up to loosen the legs, knees, and ankles, preparing dancers for proper skill execution. Students will learn to master rhythm, dynamics and varied sounds through across-the-floor progressions and center combinations.

Lyrical/Contemporary Fusion

Our Lyrical/Contemporary Fusion class focuses on developing skills and terminology in both lyrical and contemporary dance styles, while teaching dancers to connect emotionally with the music and movement to convey a meaningful message. The class includes warm-ups and stretches, balance exercises, floor work, lifts, turns, jumps, and center and across-the-floor combinations that challenge dancers with contrasting movement qualities. We incorporate the "Hawkins Technique", which emphasizes the integration of body, mind, and soul through scientifically grounded principles, fostering a holistic approach to dance.

Hip-Hop

Our Hip-Hop classes encourage dancers to explore the style and technique of hip-hop, diving into various street styles including popping, locking, and breaking. These dynamic movements challenge dancers to develop strong coordination, rhythm, and body control. The class will focus on teaching the fundamental skills of hip-hop dance, incorporating across-the-floor progressions and center combinations to build versatility and confidence.
(This class has one dance in the recital.)
Leaps & Turns Technique

Beginner Level (Placement is based on skill level - dancers mastering single pirouettes and basic leaps & jumps)

Intermediate Level (Placement is based on skill level - dancers mastering double/triple pirouettes, intermediate turn sequences, and intermediate leaps & jumps)

Advanced Level (Placement is based on skill level - dancers mastering triple/quad + pirouettes, advanced turn sequences, and advanced leaps & jumps
This class is specifically designed for those interested in preparing for middle school and high school "Dance Team" requirements, offering targeted training that aligns with the skills needed for auditions and performances. In the class, dancers will be taught leaps, turns, jumps, and other skills tailored to their level and ability. Instruction will focus on building strength, technique, and control to help dancers master these essential elements.
(These classes do NOT participate in the recital.)
Branch Out Dance Academy Company
Branch Out Dance Academy’s competitive company is offered by audition only in May for the following school year.
What does it mean to be a company member at Branch Out Dance Academy? Company members are held to a very high standard. We expect our company dancers to be the role models of our studio! Our company members will be taught outstanding technique and choreography, given unique performance opportunities, and gain friendships and life lessons along the way! The members must not only be committed to dance, but committed to their teammates and instructors, and setting a good example within our community.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are offered to students interested in progressing their dance skills at a more rapid rate. Sessions will be catered to each dancer individually for their specific goal. Please contact us for more information.
